Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan approved the regulation on the procedure for encouraging persons who reported corruption offenses or otherwise contributed to the fight against corruption.
According to the Regulation, individuals who reported corruption offenses are encouraged by a one-time monetary bonus if there is one of the following grounds:
in case such a violation is disclosed on the basis of a report to the anti-corruption authorities (General Prosecutor’s Office, State Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor’s Office), when a bribe was demanded from this person or other a corruption offense known;
detention of a person sought on the basis of a message to law enforcement agencies about the search for a person for a corruption offense (with the exception of law enforcement officials).
Based on this, persons who reported corruption offenses or otherwise contributed to the fight against corruption can be rewarded with a one-time cash bonus in the amount of 3 to 25 basic estimated values (from 669 thousand soums to 5 million 575 thousand soums), respectively.
The cash bonus will be transferred to the personal account of the individual within 15 working days after the changes in the cost estimate are made.
