Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Indian low-cost airline IndiGo is opening a second route to Tashkent: starting from 1 August 2025, it will operate regular flights on the Mumbai – Tashkent – Mumbai route. Flights will be conducted four times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays — using Airbus A320 aircraft.

IndiGo is the largest private airline in India, headquartered in Gurgaon. The company leads the domestic market in the number of regular flights and fleet size. IndiGo began operations in Uzbekistan in September 2023, launching flights on the Delhi – Tashkent – Delhi route.

The new destination, Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay, is India’s largest financial and business center.

Situated on the country’s western coast along the Arabian Sea, Mumbai is also regarded as the capital of India’s film industry, fashion, and commerce.
