Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 August 2020, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov met with the Vice President for International Relations of Sharda University Ashok Daryani.
Sharda University is one of the leading private higher education institutions in India. As part of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to India in 2018, a branch of Shard University in Andijan began operations in October 2019. Currently, about 200 young people study at the university.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current activities and plans for the future of the university in Andijan. In particular, the representative of the University of Sharda highlighted the favorable conditions and opportunities created in the republic in all areas, and expressed his intention to implement new joint projects in other regions of Uzbekistan in the near future.
Within the framework of the negotiations, the issue of implementing an investment project to launch a university clinic on the basis of one of the medical universities of Uzbekistan with the participation of the multidisciplinary university clinic Sharda Hospital was discussed.
Following the talks, Ashok Daryani said that a delegation led by President of Sharda University Pradeep Gupta is ready to visit Uzbekistan in September this year to discuss promising areas of cooperation.
Sharda Group founded Sharda Hospital in 2005, a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary clinic to provide high-tech medical services. Sharda Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the National Capital Region of Delhi with over 900 beds and over 300 highly qualified doctors. Sharda Hospital is affiliated with the School of Health Sciences and Research (College of Medicine), established in 2009 at Sharda University. The school provides comprehensive opportunities for teaching, research and patient care. The school is located on the same grounds as Sharda Hospital, where medical students receive extensive clinical and practical training.
