Indian journal "Agriculture Today" publishes article on the agriculture of Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The October issue of the Indian journal “Agriculture Today” published a detailed article entitled “Agriculture of Uzbekistan: Progress and Achievements,” Dunyo news agency reported.

The author carried out a detailed analysis of the current state and prospects of the agricultural sector of Uzbekistan, with specific indicators and statistics.

The article emphasizes the importance of this sphere in the economy of the republic. In this regard, measures taken in the country to diversify and modernize the sectors of the country’s agricultural sector are noted.

Indian experts positively evaluate the practical steps to radically increase the volume and expand the geography of export of Uzbek fruits and vegetables. “Uzbekistan exports more than 180 types of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables to the markets of 120 countries,” the article says.

Further, the author talks about the international cooperation of Uzbekistan in intensifying production and food security, in particular, on the implementation of the country partnership program with FAO.

A separate material is devoted to the activities of Tashkent Agrarian University as the leading educational institution in the region in training personnel for the agricultural sector.
