Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Indian company Aakash Healthcare opened a multidisciplinary hospital in Tashkent.
The new hospital was inaugurated today, on 23 November 2022, with the participation of the First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Amrillo Inoyatov, Indian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat, Head of the Department of Licensing, Accreditation and Development of Medical Tourism of Uzbekistan Jaloliddin Asamutdinov, Khokim of Uchtepa district Farhod Abdullayev, as well as Chief Chairman of the Board of Aakash Healthcare LLC Dr. JC Chaudhry and Managing Director of Aakash Healthcare Dr. Aashish Chaudhry. The event was also attended by the management and team of the Aakash Healthcare clinic from India and Tashkent.

Our health care system needs some reforms, for example, in the areas of quality of services, equal financing of health care and cost efficiency. Thanks to high-quality equipment and services, Aakash Healthcare will help Uzbekistan become one of the leading medical centers in Central Asia for all CIS countries,” Amrillo Inoyatov said in his speech at the opening ceremony. “This hospital will really help the people of Uzbekistan and other CIS countries and set new standards for the quality of medical care,” Mr. Inoyatov added.
Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat to the whole Aakash Healthcare family with the opening of the first of its kind Indian hospital in Tashkent and said that this will bring even higher quality Indian healthcare to Uzbekistan and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the peoples of India and Uzbekistan.
The influx of patients from Uzbekistan and other CIS countries to India, especially in New Delhi, is growing every year. Approximately 8,000 patients come to Delhi each year for treatment, and the approximate market size is US$30 million. Most patients from Uzbekistan come to treat liver diseases. Patients also come to India for complex procedures such as liver transplantation, oncology, neuro- and orthopedic surgeries. Aakash Healthcare LLC will focus on maternal and child diseases, orthopedics, liver and kidneys.
