Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 April this year, a meeting was held between representatives of the Swiss consulting company Gherzi - Laurent Ocuturier, Kerim Shafii, during which cooperation was discussed and directions for further work were identified.
Gherzi is involved in the GIZ project "Export promotion and Fashion Incubator". In particular, the company is developing a Reference Report on the textile and clothing and knitwear industry of the Republic and its further publication in the media and distribution to investors and international brands. The purpose of the Background Report is to provide an independent overview of the industry and improve general knowledge in Europe and in the world about the textile industry in Uzbekistan.
It was noted that Uzbekistan is the only country that has been able to eradicate forced and child labor in the shortest possible time and this experience, which the country should share with other countries. At the same time, Uzbekistan has become the only country that has managed to achieve 100% domestic cotton processing over the past 6 years.
During the meeting, the experts noted the need to create a marketing strategy and marketing message (a clear and concise phrase that informs and convinces the target audience of why they should choose products made in Uzbekistan). The marketing message is one of the most powerful advertising tools and conveys the brand message to potential customers.
In addition to the above, Gherzi will make recommendations that can be initiated both nationally and internationally, incl. enhancing the competitiveness of the sector and supporting the industry in line with international standards and global brand requirements.
