Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution "On measures to support the construction materials industry" was adopted.

According to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 31 August 2021:

- from 1 October  2021, the income tax rate for cement (clinker) producers will be reduced from 20% to 15%;

- from 1 January 2022, the tax rate for the use of subsoil for 1 ton of limestone for the production of cement is set at 22,500 soums by reducing the rate by half.

By the way, tax rates were established by the Tax Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 30 December 2019 (Articles 337 and 452 of the Tax Code, respectively). Therefore, we should expect the introduction of appropriate amendments to this code in the near future.

On 20 August, during a meeting with entrepreneurs, the President of Uzbekistan instructed to consider the issue of reducing the income tax rate for cement plants and submit scientifically substantiated proposals within a month.
