Inclusive Education, Healthcare and Technology: Results of Israel–Uzbekistan Cooperation in 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, cooperation between Israel and Uzbekistan through the Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) delivered tangible results in the areas of inclusive education, healthcare and social programs, according to the press service of the Embassy of Israel in Tashkent.

As part of the partnership, the Embassy of Israel and MASHAV provided the Republican Center for Social Adaptation of Children with specialized hippotherapy simulators for children with cerebral palsy. These devices help strengthen muscles and improve motor coordination.

In addition, donations totaling more than one billion soums were made to the Fergana branch of the Republican Center for Social Adaptation, children’s sanatoriums, medical and rehabilitation centers in Karakalpakstan, endocrinology and psychiatric centers, as well as the Fergana Beekeepers’ Union.

Particular attention in 2025 was given to technologies for people with visual impairments. In March, ORCAM assistive devices were handed over in Tashkent to visually impaired students and a specialized school. These devices enable users to read text, recognize faces and identify objects in real time, thereby promoting inclusive education and social integration.

MASHAV’s activities in Uzbekistan are based on decades of bilateral cooperation and focus on the transfer of Israeli expertise through training courses, seminars, demonstration projects and charitable donations.

Over the years, thousands of specialists in agriculture, education and healthcare have taken part in the program in Uzbekistan. Key priorities remain sustainable development, inclusive education and the practical transfer of technology.

Uzbekistan continues to be a key partner of Israel in Central Asia. By gaining access to modern technologies and management practices, the republic is strengthening the economic and social capacity of its institutions.

For Israel, these initiatives enhance international cooperation and help build long-term partnerships in the region.

The year 2025 demonstrated that even amid regional challenges and a changing geopolitical landscape, cooperation can deliver concrete benefits for children, professionals and communities, confirming a successful model of engagement based on mutual respect and shared interests.
