Inclusion in the SPAS database does not guarantee employment: Migration Agency discusses issues with EPS Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Director of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, Behzod Musayev, held a meeting with the head of the Uzbekistan EPS Center of the Human Resources Development Service of the Republic of Korea, Kim Hyun Sung.
The primary topic of discussion was the complaints from Uzbek citizens who had successfully passed the exams required for employment in South Korea but had not received job offers from employers.
As of today, around 15,000 Uzbek citizens have passed the EPS-TOPIK test and have been included in the SPAS electronic database. However, this does not guarantee automatic employment, as the final decision remains with employers.
The Migration Agency proposed several measures to the Korean side aimed at simplifying procedures, increasing transparency in the selection process, combating corruption, enhancing professional skills, and improving candidates’ language training. The Uzbek side also expressed its willingness to create all necessary conditions for applicants.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold negotiations with the president of HRD Korea to explore solutions and improve the employment system.
