Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility from 26 October 2020, now the internal affairs bodies can also consider cases related to violation of the rules for combating epidemics (Article 54).

At the same time, the bodies have the right to consider cases of this category and apply administrative penalties only subject to the introduction of quarantine in the relevant territories or objects.

Also, now, when drivers of vehicles commit administrative offenses provided for in part two of Article 54 (in terms of violation of restrictions on the movement of vehicles), the detention of vehicles is carried out by the internal affairs bodies before the consideration of the case on an administrative offense.

The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
