Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2022, forestry enterprises will create plantations of medicinal plants on an area of 4,984 hectares, it is planned to harvest 8,555 tons of medicinal plant raw materials, Director of the Center for Cultivation and Processing of Medicinal Plants Gayrat Juraev said at a briefing.
It is noted that in 2022 the forestry enterprises of the system plan to create plantations of medicinal plants on an area of 4,984 hectares and procure 8,555 tons of medicinal plant raw materials.
Also, experimental plantations of 8 species (lavender, rosemary, sage, thyme, goji, etc.) of rare medicinal plants were created by 54 state forestry enterprises in the Committee's system on an area of 195.1 hectares.
In the spring of 2022, 27 state forestry enterprises in the Committee system created experimental mother plantations of rare species of medicinal plants such as blueberries, raspberries, and currants on an area of 11.5 hectares.
