Imports of Russian Goods to Uzbekistan via Wildberries Increased by 25% in the First Nine Months of 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Imports of Russian goods to Uzbekistan through the online platform Wildberries grew by 25% in January–September 2025 compared to the same period last year, according to Akmal Primkulov, Director of Wildberries in Uzbekistan, speaking at the II Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan.
According to Primkulov, e-commerce is becoming one of the key drivers of economic cooperation between the two countries. The fastest-growing product categories include footwear (+110%), clothing (+63%), accessories (+47%), beauty products (+41%), kitchenware and equipment (+32%), toys (+35%), and stationery (+22%).
“The partnership between Uzbekistan and Russia in e-commerce demonstrates how digital technologies can promote mutual economic development. Further development of e-commerce, along with the creation of joint infrastructural and regulatory mechanisms, will allow for increased exports, market diversification, and strengthened economic ties at a new technological level,” Primkulov noted.
The export component is also showing active growth: sales of Uzbek goods on the Wildberries platform increased by 37% in the first nine months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
The highest growth was observed in food products — +122% in monetary terms and +155% in physical volume, textiles and clothing +39%, and home goods +49%.
Wildberries emphasizes that e-commerce is shaping a new model of bilateral trade, providing direct interaction between suppliers and consumers, lowering barriers to foreign markets, and contributing to the diversification of export-import flows
