Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mazars, an international audit company, and the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education signed a memorandum of cooperation, Dunyo news agency reported.
On 24 February 2020, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree “On additional measures for the transition to international financial reporting standards (IFRS),” according to which the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education was given a number of tasks, including the introduction of advanced studying IFRS.
Mazars is one of the largest audit and consulting companies in Europe, formed in France in 1945. To date, the company is represented in 91 countries, it employs more than 40 thousand employees.
A memorandum with this company was signed following the negotiations held in May 2020. In accordance with the document, it is planned to develop cooperation to improve curricula in the study of IFRS, innovative technologies in the field of finance and advanced training of teaching staff.
Mazars will also assist in the development of cooperation in the field of accounting to disseminate the successful international practice of training specialists in the field of IFRS, and to participate in the exchange of experience and information between specialists and experts.
