Immortal regiment march not to take place in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
March “Immortal regiment” will not be held in Tashkent, information service of the administration of the capital city of Uzbekistan said.
Tashkent city administration said that various events are planned for 9 May, Day of Honour and Memory. March “Immortal regiment” was not included to the programme of the events.
It is worth to mention that young activists and VETERAN Union announced about holding of the march “Immortal regiment” in Tashkent.
The organizers noted that they received a permission from Tashkent city administration to hold the march.
However, Tashkent city administration allowed the VETERAN Union to put flowers to eternal fire after the main events, planned for 9 May. The letter of Tashkent city administration did not mention the march “Immortal regiment”.
