ILO delegation visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Council the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the chief expert on labor inspection and protection of the technical support group for decent work and the ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Valentin Mocanu.

The ILO delegation held a meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Labor of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. In addition, a seminar was held on the development of an effective management system for safety and labor protection.

During the meeting, the sides considered issues of protection of rights of labour, social and legal protection of workers, preferences to women and youth, adherence to ILO, etc.

It was underlined that many enterprises of Uzbekistan pay attention to introduction of production, introduction of new technologies to improve production and labour conditions.
