ILO delegation holds talks at Uzbek Labour Ministry

The meeting was aimed at discussing main priorities of Uzbekistan on developing and strengthening of cooperation within the project on decent work. It is expected that the project will be extended to 2020.

ILO expert Jana Costache met with the representatives of the Ministry of Labour of Uzbekistan and its structure, as well as social partners in the labour development.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to analyzing priority directions of the project on decent works in Uzbekistan.

The review is directed at revealing system measures on assisting decent labour in Uzbekistan, preventing risks of child and forced labour.

During the meeting, the sides considered issues related to ensuring employment of population, development of labour market, legislation in the field of labour and employment, security and assessment of labour conditions, etc.
