ILO delegation holds negotiations in Uzbekistan
At the meeting the sides considered implementation of the Country Programme on decent work within the cooperation between Uzbekistan and the ILO, including issues of realization of the ILO convention on forced child labour, as well as plans for capacity-building and staff development of the social partners in Uzbekistan, the information service of the Ministry labor and Social Protection of Population of Uzbekistan said.
At the meeting, the ILO representatives highly rated adopted measures in Uzbekistan on eliminating and preventing use of forced and child labour. The experts noted that three-side partners carried out effective explanation campaign.
Speaking about plans for future, the ILO representatives underlined importance of strengthening achieve result and work further to full elimination of forced and child labour. They proposed to carry out work in cooperation with local and international experts. At the same time, it was recommended to use tested methodologies, developed by the ILO. The experts expressed readiness to provide technical assistance if necessary.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the ILO expressed gratitude to meeting with the social partners in Uzbekistan.
