Illegal trade in pharmaceuticals prevented in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Joint operations conducted by the Department under the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Security Service (SSS) have led to the detention of individuals involved in the illegal trade of pharmaceutical products.
In the Chilanzar district, a suspect identified as B.M. was apprehended during the sale of 2,000 packages of the foreign drug "Ferro-Biotech" to M.K. for US$18,000. The arrest was made at the moment of the transaction, and material evidence was confiscated.
In the Kibrai district, coordinated operations by the Department, the SSS, and the Tashkent Regional Internal Affairs Directorate resulted in the detention of G.S., who sold 25 tablets of "Zardex" and 2 packages of "Tropicamide" to A.A. for 3.1 million soums. Searches at the homes of his associates, H.N. and D.A., uncovered 103 tablets of potent narcotic drugs.
These operations underscore the authorities’ commitment to combating illegal pharmaceutical trade and ensuring public health safety.
