II Uzbekistan–Tajikistan Interregional Forum to be Held in Jizzakh
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, Jizzakh region will host the II Interregional Forum “Uzbekistan–Tajikistan,” aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties and developing business cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
During the forum, participants will discuss prospects for joint projects, explore new avenues of partnership, and present the investment potential of their regions. The event is designed to enhance interaction between business communities, identify opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration, and attract investments.
The first Uzbekistan–Tajikistan interregional investment forum took place on 9 June 2021, in the city of Bokhtar, laying the groundwork for further strengthening economic relations.
According to 2025 data, the trade turnover between the two countries reached US$718.3 million, representing a 22.5% increase compared to 2024. Both sides have also set an ambitious target to raise bilateral trade to US$2 billion, reaffirming their commitment to expanding long-term economic cooperation.
