Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is currently holding a meeting with activists of Uchtepa district of Tashkent city.
The head of state noted that the issue of reforms in the transport system of the capital is always in the spotlight.
“Today I instructed the Prime Minister to deliver 1,000 buses to Tashkent by March. We need to reform the public transport system. Along with the achievements, there are also many unresolved issues,” the President noted.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev also said that no region has been given as many opportunities as Tashkent.
“What would happen if new metro lines were not built? What kind of traffic jams would there be now if a new road to Sergeli had not been built? Naturally, there would be traffic jams,” the head of state added.
