Hydrocarbon Production in Uzbekistan Declines Early 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s production of key hydrocarbons declined in January–February 2026, while automotive gasoline output showed signs of recovery, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Natural gas production fell by 6.8%, from 7.4 to 6.9 billion cubic meters. Oil output decreased by 2.6%, reaching 103.1 thousand tons compared with 105.8 thousand tons in the same period last year. The most significant drop was recorded in the gas condensate segment, which fell 16.0%, from 187.7 to 157.7 thousand tons. Coal production remained stable at 0.7 million tons.
Despite the decline in raw hydrocarbon extraction, automotive gasoline production increased by 8.6% to 204.4 thousand tons, up from 188.3 thousand tons in January–February 2025, indicating a recovery in the country’s refining sector.
