Hunnu Air to Launch Direct Flights from Ulaanbaatar to Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 June, a day before the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Mongolia, a Mongolia-Uzbekistan business forum was held in Ulaanbaatar.
As part of the forum, First Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Mamambay Omarov met with Purevjav Munkhjargal, head of the Mongolian airline Hunnu Air.
During the negotiations, the two sides discussed the establishment of direct air connectivity between Uzbekistan and Mongolia, with a particular focus on launching regular flights along the Ulaanbaatar–Tashkent route.
The discussions addressed details such as the allocation of necessary slots for Hunnu Air and the development of practical mechanisms to serve transit passengers.
The talks concluded with agreements to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in civil aviation. Special attention was given to creating a stable and efficient air route that would promote stronger business and tourism ties between the two countries.
According to the agreement reached, the first Hunnu Air flight from Ulaanbaatar to Tashkent is scheduled to take place in September of this year.
