Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Training for the digital economy should become a priority for every higher educational institution. Experts in the field of digital transformation put forward the view that training young professionals based on the methods, textbooks and manuals of the last century can do more harm than good to young people, delaying their development.
The Banking and Finance Academy opens the specialty "Finance and Financial Technologies" in the new academic year. Project managers in the field of digitalization of banking and financial services will be trained in this specialty. New mobile applications and online services will spread through these experts.
In order to select more worthy candidates for graduate studies, the Academy removed restrictions on age, basic education and industry experience. Specialists with basic education in the field of information technology and mathematics are now welcome here.
“Admission to the Academy takes place in the format of the Case Championship. We receive hundreds of applications for participation every day, the candidates are very curious, because this is the first time admission to a master’s program is held in Uzbekistan,” said the acting director, vice-rector of the Banking and Finance Academy, Doctor of Economics Zafar Berdinazarov.
Especially for the participants of the Open Case Championship, the leadership of the Academy attracted experts with rich practical experience from the USA, Kazakhstan, Egypt, Russia, Oman and other countries.
During the Case Championship, participants will offer their solutions on topical issues, including:
- view on financial institutions and banks in 2030;
- methods of ensuring economic growth and reducing inflation;
- ways to increase the volume of the capital market up to 10% of GDP;
- ways of radical transformation of the tax system;
