Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 December, a meeting was held in Tashkent with the participation of Tashkent khokim Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev, the press service of the city administration said.

Khokim of the capital gave relevant instructions to officials:

  - During the ten-day period of abnormally cold weather from 9 to 18 January, it is prohibited to hold various meetings, meetings and other events (including in the Zoom format) in the city and district khokimiyats, departments and their district offices (including in the Zoom format) that distract responsible persons from their main activities.

- Instructions for managing negative situations will be transmitted directly by phone and online;

- Organize prompt clearing of central and internal roads from snow and ice;

- Managing service companies to ensure the cleaning of internal paths adjacent to multi-storey buildings from snow and ice;

- Promptly eliminate accidents in the power supply system;

- Take separate control over the heat supply of maternity hospitals, hospitals, charity homes and Mehribonlik houses, provide fuel to electric generators and bring them to a state of full readiness;

- The Department of Emergency Situations, within two days, re-inspect and control fire safety;

- Create the most favorable conditions for the use of public transport by the population, recommend, if possible, not to use personal vehicles;

- Monitor the uninterrupted operation of telephone lines for communication with duty points, headquarters and call centers;

- Within two days, check the provision of ambulances "103" with medical devices and preparations and make up for their lack;

- Provide road safety and landscaping personnel working on the street with hot meals, tea, compact thermoses, etc.
