Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 January 2023, 1,312 babies were born in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

Of them:

687 - boys;

625 - girls.

Most babies were born in Ferghana region - 172 newborns. Then follow Kashkadarya region - 169, Namangan region - 137, Surkhandarya region - 133, Samarkand region - 121.

The smallest number of newborns was registered in the Syrdarya region - 35.

Seven of the babies are twins.
