Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 September, a video was circulated on social networks, which captured a conflict between residents of a multi-storey building in Uchtepa district of the capital.
On this fact, the internal affairs bodies immediately took legal measures, and the public was promptly informed about this.
However, at present, there is a situation where individuals and social media activists are trying to present everyday conflict as inciting ethnic hatred.
Information about a conflict allegedly on ethnic grounds in Tashkent, which is disseminated by individual destructive citizens and activists of social networks, both in the republic and abroad, has no grounds and is a direct violation of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Public Control".
All citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan have the same rights and freedoms and are equal before the law without distinction of sex, race, nationality, language, religion, social origin, beliefs, personal and social status. Conflicts between citizens are resolved exclusively in the legal field.
The dissemination of information inciting national, racial, ethnic or religious hatred entails administrative and criminal liability.
