Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent has decided to reduce hot water pressure to improve heating. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat of Tashkent.

The administration noted that due to the lack of heating in the apartments of the capital, the load on the electrical networks has increased.

As a result of severe frosts, the pressure of natural gas supplied to thermal stations decreased, which led to a drop in the temperature of both hot water and heating.

Residents are forced to use additional electrical appliances to heat their apartments, which leads to a load on electrical networks.

Every day there are more than 10 cases of ignition of transformers and wires.

In this regard, it was decided to reduce the pressure of hot water for at least 3 days in order to improve the heating of apartments.

According to the administration, the saved natural gas will be directed to the heat supply system.

The khokimiyat of Tashkent apologized to the residents and expressed hope for understanding on their part.

The administration also urged citizens to reduce their use of electricity whenever possible.

Citizens were urged to heat and light only the most used premises.
