Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic in Uzbekistan opened in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 8 November 2021, a grand opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan took place in Tashkent. The Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Uzbekistan and the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan solemnly presented the consular patent to the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Uzbekistan Shimko Vasily, the president of Shimco Group, the founder of the Slovak-Russian-Uzbek company Chirana Asia, the first plant in Central Asia for the production of ventilators and world class anesthesia and respiratory equipment.

Vasily Shimko, a native of Uzbekistan, has earned recognition and authority thanks to his many years of successful entrepreneurial activity both in Russia and in Slovakia.

Currently, with the support of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, it is transferring high European technologies to the Republic of Uzbekistan. He also conducts charity events, provides assistance to various medical institutions, disabled children, war and labor veterans.

The organizers noted that the new appointment will serve to strengthen the intensive ties between the Government of the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, both in the fields of culture and education, as well as in the field of politics, investment and economics.

The Solemn Opening and Inauguration Ceremony of the Honorary Consulate and the subsequent reception for the invited guests took place in the building of the Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic.
