Honorary Consulate of France opened in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first honorary consulate of France in Central Asia opened in Samarkand on 16 April 2019, the press service of the French Embassy in Tashkent said.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, the Minister of state attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs  of France, solemnly opened the consulate. The khokim of the city of Samarkand Furkat Rakhimov took part in the ceremony.

Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne presented the consular certificate to Isrofil Usanov, Honorary Consul of France in Samarkand (for 5 years).
