Hokim of Andijan Region Discusses Transport and Urban Infrastructure Development with Chinese Investor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 February, Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, Hokim of Andijan Region, held a working meeting in the city of Babur with Chinese investor Ma Zaishen, Chairman of the Boards of “Xaynan Stzintanbo Investment” and “Xaynan Chjyondjun Tanbo Lishan Industry.”

The meeting continued discussions initiated several days earlier on the prospects for bilateral cooperation. During the talks, the parties thoroughly reviewed key infrastructure projects in the region.

Particular attention was given to the construction of the “Dry Port” logistics center in Khonobod, the development of the transport and logistics network, road construction, creation of an artificial lake, and the comprehensive improvement of Babur’s urban infrastructure.

During the 4 February meeting, the Hokim and the investor exchanged views on the technical and economic indicators of the proposed projects, investment volumes, implementation stages, and conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation.

As a result of the meeting, concrete agreements were reached on the implementation of the outlined projects, and memorandums of cooperation were signed to strengthen partnership relations and support the comprehensive development of Andijan Region.
