Heavy Rain in Samarkand Region Causes No Damage

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the night of 23 March, a heavy rainstorm affected several districts in the Samarkand region, resulting in temporary water accumulation on some local streets, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan reported.

Flooding was recorded in the “Bunyodkor” and “Iftikhor” mahallas of Urgut district, as well as in several other settlements across the region.

According to the duty department of the Samarkand Regional Emergency Management Office, no requests for assistance were received from residents.

Authorities confirmed that the rain did not cause damage to residential buildings, and no local residents were harmed.
