Heads of Uzbek, Tajik election bodies hold talks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan Mirzo-Ulugbek Abdusalamov held a meeting with the chairperson of the Central commission on elections and referendums of Tajikistan Hudoyorzoda Bakhtiyor Tavar.
Head of the Tajik election body arrived in Uzbekistan as the member of the CIS observers’ mission to the presidential elections.
During the meeting, the Uzbek side familiarized the guests with the preparations to the presidential elections in Uzbekistan. It was said that the elections are conducted in line with the requirements of the legislation.
It was noted that all presidential candidates received equal conditions for promoting their programme among the voters.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on perspectives of cooperation between election bodies of two states.
