Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbaeva in Syrdarya region got acquainted with the opportunities and conditions created locally for women and youth, implemented by socio-economic projects. In addition, in the course of a direct dialogue, proposals, wishes and appeals of the population were studied.

The Chairman of the Senate T. Narbayeva got acquainted with the activities of the production cooperative "Omadli Ayollar", which recently began its work in a new building in the city of Gulistan. She examined the conditions created and spoke with workers and employees. It is planned to supply 10 more new sewing machines to create additional jobs. In addition, a proposal was made by the head of the cooperative to introduce a cluster in order to expand entrepreneurial activity.

Then the Chairperson of the upper house of parliament got acquainted with the activities of the regional center of entrepreneurship and rehabilitation center, focused on the issues of training entrepreneurs, ensuring employment of unemployed citizens. Additional recommendations were also given on providing assistance to women undergoing treatment in a rehabilitation center.

The next venue was the Yulduz makhalla in Gulistan district. The Chairperson of the Senate got acquainted with the project of a greenhouse, occupying two acres of land, which will be built here for the population included in the "women’s notebook" and "youth notebook". It is reported that such a field will soon be built in 50 mahalla houses. Most importantly, it generates income throughout the year.

It should be noted that LLC "Agrohamkor tomorka hizmat", in addition to the construction of these greenhouses, provides assistance to their owners regarding the agricultural technology of planting and greenhouse management. It is noteworthy that in this makhalla there are many families who have achieved high results in this direction. In particular, a greenhouse with an area of 10 acres in the house of Shokirjon Akhmetjonov receives crops four times a year. It even grows vines, abundant and fruitful grapes. The Chairperson of the Senate also examined the greenhouse of this family.

The hostess of the house, Nasibe, will be given a free voucher to rest in a health resort.

In addition, within the framework of the visit, an acquaintance with the activities of the Miss Miledi enterprise, opened last year in the Ibrat makhalla, took place. It is important that thanks to the creation of this light industry entity, 300 women will be provided with permanent jobs.

Then the Chairperson of the upper house of parliament got acquainted with the activities of the handicraft training center, created in the regional center by the entrepreneur J.Anorkulova. The center provides training for about 1,500 women and youth, unemployed citizens in various areas of handicraft. Currently, the center conducts classes on making national carpets and costumes, teaching weaving, creating fabrics with a floral pattern, souvenirs, jewelry, embroidery, making blankets, pillows, robes and hats, national metal jewelry and hairdressing.

During her visit to Khavast district, the Chairperson of the Senate met with the deputies of the regional Kengash, women. At the meeting, gifts were presented to active women of the mahalla, where not a single family divorce has recently been registered and who have achieved high results in other areas.

In addition, the Chairperson of the Senate visited the family of I. Mukhammadiyev, living in the Khavast region. She is raising five children, three of whom are 1st group invalids. Girls are physically undeveloped, but they want to develop mentally, to receive a quality education.

They don’t have the opportunity to go to school. Therefore, teachers from one of the local educational institutions in the area decided to help the girls. Mentors and coaches come home several times a week and teach lessons. The Chairperson of the Senate presented gifts to these girls.

The regional khokimiyat also hosted a meeting in the form of a videoconference with the participation of senators elected from Syrdarya region, deputies of the regional and district, city Kengashes of people’s deputies, heads of secretariats of Kengashes, heads of sectors, deputy khokims of districts and cities on mahalla and family support issues, consultants on issues women and other responsible representatives of responsible departments.

During the meeting, the issues of work carried out in the field to support women included in the "women’s notebook", to increase the efficiency of the work of the deputies of the regional and local Kengashes, secretariats of Kengashes. Suggestions and recommendations were made on these issues.
