Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Meets EBRD President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Saida Mirziyoyeva noted that, thanks to the openness policy and large-scale reforms carried out by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD has reached a new level and acquired a strategic character.

Special attention was given to joint infrastructure projects in irrigation and the green economy, implemented with the Bank’s support.

“We highly value the Women in Business and Youth in Business programs, which help women and youth unlock their potential and improve lives,” said Saida Mirziyoyeva. “It is also important to note the high level of cooperation in projects in Karakalpakstan aimed at sustainable regional development.”

Both sides emphasized that, through joint efforts, Central Asian countries have strengthened an atmosphere of trust and cooperation in the region.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed confidence that the partnership with the EBRD will continue to contribute to Uzbekistan’s prosperity and further strengthen stability and well-being across the region.
