Halyk Bank and Tenge Bank Launch HUMO Card Payments Across Kazakhstan’s POS Network for Uzbek Residents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Halyk Bank, together with its Uzbek subsidiary Tenge Bank and the national payment system HUMO, has launched a service enabling HUMO cardholders to pay for goods and services in Kazakhstan through Halyk Bank POS terminals.

The new service allows Uzbek residents to use their familiar HUMO cards within Kazakhstan’s largest POS network without the need for currency exchange or cash withdrawals. Payments are made in Uzbek soums with automatic conversion, and transactions are processed in real time. The service supports both physical and digital cards, including contactless NFC payments.

The launch simplifies transactions for Uzbeks visiting Kazakhstan for business, tourism, or personal travel, while also opening new opportunities for Kazakh businesses accepting cashless payments.

Halyk Bank is Kazakhstan’s largest universal bank, with an extensive POS terminal network and advanced digital infrastructure. The bank actively develops cross-border payment solutions and financial service integration across Central Asia.

Tenge Bank, Halyk Bank’s subsidiary in Uzbekistan, served as the key link in implementing the project, ensuring technological integration of the two countries’ payment systems and supporting the development of modern financial services for clients on both sides of the border.
