Guangdong Forum Boosts Uzbekistan–China Business Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, together with the Consulate General in Guangzhou, organized a business forum in Guangdong province aimed at expanding investment cooperation between the two countries, the Dunyo news agency reported.
The event brought together representatives of provincial ministries and government agencies, chambers of commerce, business associations, and leading Chinese companies. Participants noted the steady development of bilateral relations and the growing number of mutual business visits in recent years.
Business representatives expressed readiness to support investment in Uzbekistan’s economy and expand exports of high-quality national products.
Particular attention during the forum was given to a presentation of Sirdaryo region, where participants were introduced to the region’s key industries, economic potential, the operations of the Sirdaryo Free Economic Zone, tax and customs incentives, as well as new investment projects and tourism opportunities.
The forum also hosted G2B and B2B negotiations, and several cooperation agreements were signed in mutually beneficial areas.
Chinese entrepreneur Lin Wei-In noted that the potential of Sirdaryo region and opportunities within the Sirdaryo Free Economic Zone are attractive for Chinese companies due to investor incentives and the region’s favorable geographic location.
Chen Yangfeng, founder of the company Prouder, said the forum provided a comprehensive understanding of opportunities across various sectors, including information and communication technologies and digitalization. She also highlighted discussions on cooperation with Tashkent IT Park and prospective ICT projects.
The forum served as an important platform for strengthening interregional ties and creating a solid foundation for implementing joint initiatives between Uzbekistan and China.
