GRP of Samarkand region grows by 11% in 1H

The volume of production in industry increased by 16.2% and agriculture – 6.6%. The construction works rose by 31.2%, retail trade – 13.2%, services – 20.1%, including paid service – 9%.

Share of small and private businesses in gross regional product made up 65,8% and service sector – 53%, UzA reported.

Within the regional programme on industrial development, 151 projects have been implemented and about US$31.6 million of investments were used.
