GRP of Jizzakh region increases by 9.7%

The industrial production increased by 13.9% in the reporting period, consumer goods production – 16.9%, agriculture output – 6.3%, capital investments – 23.1%, contract works – 14.5%, retail trade turnover – 15%, all services – 19.2% and paid services – 12.7%.

The region realized 783 projects and created 3,932 jobs within these projects. In order to develop industrial potential Jizzakh region implemented 137 projects for US$21.4 million, including 33 projects in production of food products and 94 – production of non-food products, UzA reported.

Jizzakh region created over 23,700 jobs in places, of which 68.7% were created in rural areas, the session said.

The region directed 312 billion soums to implement the state programme "The Year of Well-Being and Prosperity" in the reporting period. In 2013, the region plans to spend 590.9 billion to realize the project.
