Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Government Resolution approved the Regulations on the procedure for providing a state grant to gifted students of the New Uzbekistan University.

According to the Regulations, the state grant is provided to applicants who are full-time students in the areas of undergraduate studies at the New Uzbekistan University.

The state grant is provided:

-graduates of Presidential Schools with a diploma or certificate of relevant international programs (International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, International Advanced Levels);

- graduates of creative and specialized schools on the basis of entrance examinations in accordance with the admission parameters allocated for these schools in the Agency’s system;

- winners of the International Olympiad in Mathematics (IMO), the International Olympiad in Physics (IPhO), the International Olympiad in Chemistry (IChO), the International Olympiad in Biology (IBO), the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), who successfully passed the entrance exams to the University;

-citizens of Uzbekistan who scored high in the entrance exams to the University;

-children from families included in the "Unified Register of Social Protection" who have successfully passed the entrance exams to the University.

Students who have received a state grant, after graduating from the University in the direction of the Agency of Presidential Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are required to work in organizations of the republic in the specialty received for up to 5 years.

Also, the Resolution defines the procedure for providing subsidies to graduates of the Presidential Schools who entered foreign higher educational organizations and their branches in Uzbekistan and non-state higher educational organizations on a fee-based contract basis.

At the same time, the graduates of the Presidential Schools are compensated for the amount of the payment-contract up to 100 sizes of basic estimated value.

Applicants submit an application to the Agency before 15 December of the academic year (a certificate of enrollment for study and a contract for payment are attached).

Students who received a subsidy, after graduating from the University in the direction of the Agency, are required to work in organizations of the republic for up to 5 years in the specialty they have received.

In the case of continuing studies in a master’s or doctoral program, this period begins after the end of the study period in a master’s or doctoral program.
