Govn’t sets requirements to websites of public companies

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan set new requirements to corporate website of joint stock companies, which will enter into force from 1 January 2015.

New requirements were approved with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers from 2 July 2014.

The document said that the websites of public companies should disclose information on its goals, charter capital, business plans, development strategy, disclosure information, organization structure, information on management, vacant job places, affiliated persons, public events, tenders, statistic information, etc.

The websites of public companies can include information from other sources, but the source should be indicated.

Information should be placed in the state language, but the website can include versions in other languages.

The companies should adopt necessary measures to protect information on the website from hackers attacks.

Information, placed on the website, should be correct and objective. It is banned to place information, which are state secret or for work use.

The management of the executive committee is responsible for fullness and correctness of information, published at the corporate website.

Access to basic information services should be free. The companies can provide additional services for payment in line with the legislation.
