Ministry of Finance, State Tax Committee and State Customs Committee adopted a resolution, which introduces changes to regulation on order of introduction of new excise stamps for alcohol and tobacco products.
The document was adopted to harmonize the regulation in line with the government resolution “On introduction of new excise stamps for alcohol and tobacco products”.
Uzbekistan introduces new excise stamps for alcohol and tobacco products from 1 April 2013. This resulted in introduction of changes to the regulation.
Norma.uz reported that the term, within which alcohol and tobacco products with old excise stamps can be realized, was prolonged from six to nine months.
Producers of alcohol and tobacco products now should stop production of goods with old excise stamps five months prior to launch of new excise stamps. Earlier, the term was two months.
