Govn’t cancels requirement to have seal for small businesses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mandatory requirement to have seals for small businesses were removed from legislative acts of Uzbekistan.

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan directed at further strengthening reliable protection of private property, subjects of entrepreneurship and eliminating barriers for their speed development” on 20 August 2015.

Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 31 July 2015 and Senate approved it on 6 August 2015. The law came into force on 21 August 2015.

According to amendments, small businesses – economic partnerships, limited liability companies, private companies and credit bureaus – can have seals, but they are not obliged to have one.

At the same time, if the enterprises have seals they can be put stamps to labour agreements, deals in written form, powers of attorney, auditor conclusions, reports of tax consultants, and other documents.
