Govn’t approves measures on developing Tashkent Zoo
The Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution “On approval of the Concept of developing Tashkent Zoo for 2016-2020”.
The document directed at creating favourable conditions for animals, close to their natural habitat. It is planned to change outlook of existing aviaries.
The concept envisages reconstruction of existing and construction of new aviaries to expand number and species of the collection. It is also planned to construct high technological Oceanarium with thematic exhibition of sea animals and fishes.
According to the concept, it is planned to create scientific complex for research work and adopt measures on strengthening technical base of veterinary clinics with purchase of new medical equipment.
Tashkent Zoo will also create additional facilities for the visitors. The visitors can use service of audio guide, children entertainment zone, café and Wi-Fi Zone, as well as electricity automobile.
The resolution said that branches of Tashkent Zoo will be opened in Samarkand and Ferghana. Termez Zoo will be reconstructed.
It is worth to mention that area of the Tashkent Zoo will be 21.5 hectares. It was over 7,000 exotic, rear and endangered species of animals, birds and fish.
