German Specialist Hans-Jürgen Göde Joins Neftchi

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 December, regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov held a meeting with German football specialist Hans-Jürgen Göde to discuss plans for developing the Neftchi football club and its prospects for competing in the elite round of the AFC Champions League.

Hans-Jürgen Göde brings decades of coaching experience. He has worked as both head coach and assistant coach at clubs in Iran, Bahrain, and Malaysia, including Persepolis, Aluminium, and Kuala Lumpur FA. He also led Iran’s U-20 national team and, from 2003 to 2005, coached Uzbekistan’s U-19 squad and the senior national team.

In recent years, Göde served as Technical Director of the Vietnam Football Federation and managed Vietnamese clubs Viettel and Binh Duong.

During the meeting, the parties discussed building a modern, strong, and cohesive team, introducing advanced global practices, and preparing for international competitions.

Göde confirmed his readiness to fully apply his professional expertise to enhance Neftchi’s performance and strengthen its standing on the international stage.

His appointment is expected to significantly improve the club’s player development system and help achieve new sporting successes.
