Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 August 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a telephone conversation with the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Heiko Maas.

During the conversation, various issues of the Uzbek-German agenda, as well as certain aspects of regional interaction, including in the Afghan direction, were discussed.

Heiko Maas expressed gratitude to the Uzbek side for assistance in organizing the evacuation of German citizens from Afghanistan.
