German defense minister visits Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of Germany led by Federal Defense Minister Thomas de Maizière arrives in Uzbekistan on 12 March 2012.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that Thomas de Maizière arrives in Tashkent to hold bilateral consultations.
Germany is one of main trade-economic partners of Uzbekistan in Europe. The Uzbek-German trade turnover hit US$561 million in 2011 against US$492.9 million in 2010.
Uzbekistan realized investment projects with German companies for over 1 billion euros.
