Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Rome, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fozilov met with the diplomatic adviser to the President of Italy, Ambassador Emanuela D’Alessandro.

During the talks, the parties highly appreciated the positive dynamics of the political and diplomatic dialogue, the steady growth of trade over the past 5 years by 149.5%, which reached $429.8 million in 2021. USA

It is indicated that the frequency of joint cultural and humanitarian events allows to state a successful start to 2022, when the countries celebrate the anniversary date - the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Uzbek-Italian diplomatic relations.

Readiness was expressed for practical partnership to further promote mutually beneficial cooperation between countries with a primary focus on building up economic, investment and technological cooperation.

The parties also agreed to bring interaction in the field of culture and education to a qualitatively new stage, to stimulate the development of interuniversity and research contacts.
