Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 November 2022, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Gairat Fozilov met with a delegation of the Seimas of the Republic of Poland headed by Pavel Beida, Chairman of the Poland-Uzbekistan inter-parliamentary group.
During the conversation, topical issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and Poland were considered.
Special attention was paid to strengthening the dialogue between the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the National Assembly of Poland, which is in the long-term interests of the two countries. Proposals were considered to increase contacts between the legislative branches of power by organizing mutual visits, exchanging experience in lawmaking, in the field of human rights, etc.
An exchange of views took place on the active promotion of economic diplomacy, which is a priority for Uzbek-Polish relations. Mutual interest in the implementation of joint investment projects was expressed.
The need to expand cultural and humanitarian ties was noted, including the full implementation of the Intergovernmental Executive Program in the field of culture, science, higher education, education and sports for 2022-2026.
