Further steps are outlined to stimulate the integrated development of Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 July, a working group led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, consisting of heads of ministries, departments, industry associations and commercial banks, went to Jizzakh and Syrdarya regions to study the current state and develop measures to further stimulation of the integrated socio-economic development of these regions.

The preliminary results of the activities of the working subgroups, which interact with entrepreneurs and the local population in a field format, in order to study the current state of economic and social development in the field and identify existing problems, are considered. Instructions were given to strengthen targeted work at the level of makhallas and to develop separate action plans to address the development of communal and social infrastructure, increase employment and create new jobs, indicating specific activities, funding sources, deadlines and responsible executors.

Particular attention was paid to the development of industries and further industrialization of the region. It was instructed to analyze the progress of the implementation of regional investment programs, identify problematic issues and take prompt measures to accelerate the implementation of approved projects.

Instructions were also given to conduct an in-depth study of the raw material potential and logistics ties in the context of regions and to develop proposals for the implementation of new projects and the location of production facilities.

Special attention was paid to the issues of import substitution - the task was to conduct an inventory of projects implemented within the framework of localization programs for the feasibility of releasing specific types of products and to determine priority areas for the development of new project proposals.

Particular emphasis was placed on the export sector. The need to intensify targeted work with exporters and provide them with comprehensive support in production and foreign trade activities was noted. Also, the responsible leaders were instructed to take measures to find new reserves to increase export potential.

As a result of the meeting, further steps were outlined to implement the tasks.
