Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 October 2022, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hamid Nairabadi.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of Uzbek-Iranian cooperation were considered.

The parties discussed issues related to the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the summit meeting in Samarkand.

Proposals to expand the contractual and legal framework for interaction were considered.

The mutual readiness of the parties to intensify constructive cooperation in the transport and communication, trade and economic spheres was emphasized.

The parties also agreed on a schedule of upcoming meetings and joint events.
